History of Oak Hill Spanish Learning Center Oak Hill Spanish Learning Center was founded by Edina and Matthew Morrison, proud parents of a 3 year old daughter. She has been the inspiration in the development of their licensed home based learning center which offers Spanish immersion to children from infancy to age 5.
About the Teacher/Childcare Provider Edina Morrison has a M.Ed. in Educational Psychology and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, both from Texas A&M University in College Station. She has been working in schools for 9 years, 1 at the district level, 6 as a classroom teacher and 2 as a tutor/substitute. She is fully certified as a bilingual teacher, elementary teacher, and as a special education teacher. Furthermore, she is fully CPR, First Aid, AED, SIDS, SBS, and Early Childhood Brain Development trained and certified.
Educational Mission The mission of Oak Hill Spanish Learning Center is to facilitate multilingualism through Spanish immersion in a loving, caring, and nurturing environment where students will have the opportunity to develop linguistically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially through age appropriate activities.
Educational Philosophy Oak Hill spanish Learning Center believes children are natural explorers of their environment and are each uniquely designed with innate skills and strengths which should be fostered to help children develop linguistically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially. A multi-sensory and interactive approach captivates children and allows them to take ownership of their learning.
